What to Expect

1
Day 1 : Arrival NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok
- Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) at 500 ft/150 m elevation.
- Our office executive will greet you and assist with boarding your vehicle.
- Travel to Gangtok (5500 ft/1677 m; 130 km; approx. 4 hrs).
- Check in and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Gangtok Sightseeing
- Morning Departure: After breakfast, head out for an excursion.
- Destination: Visit Tshangu Lake, located 43 km away with a 3-hour journey one way.
- Altitude & Depth: The lake sits at 12,400 ft (3,780 m) with an average depth of 50 ft.
- Experience: Enjoy the cool waters and surrounding scenic beauty.
- Return: Head back to Gangtok and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 3 : Gangtok to Kalimpong
- Half-day sightseeing: choose between Rumtek Monastery or Jhakri Water Falls.
- Visit Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, and Enchey Monastery.
- Afternoon transfer to Kalimpong (3937 ft/1200 m, 85 km/3 hrs).
- Check-in and overnight hotel stay.

Day 4 : Kalimpong to Darjeeling
- After breakfast, visit Dello Hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Flower Nurseries, Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang & Durbin Dara Hills.
- Transfer to Darjeeling (7380 ft / 2250 m, 70 kms / 03 hrs).
- Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 : Explore Darjeeling
- Depart early (around 4 AM) to Tiger Hills (8364 ft / 2550 m) for a sunrise view over Kanchendzonga Peak (weather permitting).
- Return via Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
- After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour including:
- Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda.
- Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday).
- Tenzing & Gombu Rock.
- Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday).
- Tea Estate OR visit Rock Garden & Ganga Maya Lake.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 : Darjeeling – NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport
- Enjoy your breakfast.
- Depart for NJP Railway Station or (IXB) Bagdogra Airport.
- The journey covers 100 Kms in approximately 03 hrs.
- Proceed for your onward connection or journey.
